Preliminary Calendar for the 2024-25 Basketball Season

October 6 – November 24, 2024: Pre-Season Fall Sundays (No program October 13)

October 6 – November 24, 2024: Fall Champions Special Needs Program (No program October 13)

December 7/8 & 14/15, 2024: Winter League Early Assessments for Ages 9 – 18

January 4/5 – March 22/23, 2025: Winter League Team Play Ages 7 – 18

January 5 – March 23, 2025: Winter Champions Special Needs Program

*February 18 – 21, 2025: Presidents Week Mini-Camp

*April 6 – June 8, 2025: Spring Sundays

*April 6 – June 8, 2025: Spring Champions Special Needs Program

*April 15 – 18, 2025: Spring Break Mini-Camp

OVERVIEW OF PROGRAMS

Boys and girls ages 7 – 18 who attend public, private, parochial or charter schools are welcome to participate.

*Winter League Recreational Team Play:  Games and practices are scheduled Saturdays or Sundays from January through March in Upper West Side public school gyms. Boys and girls divisions consist of age/grade groupings; the youngest players’ group is coed.

*Fall Pre-season Program:  A six to eight- week coed program for players who want to learn the game, get ready for school tryouts, improve their skills or just have fun!   Sundays in October and November.

*Spring Sundays:  Following winter league team play.  A coed program from April to early June. Instruction, scrimmaging and positive vibes!

*Presidents Week and Spring Break Mini-Camps:  Three or four- day coed programs scheduled during public school breaks. (Follows the public school calendar). Full days of instruction, games and contests. For ages 7 – 13.  

*Special Needs:  We are developing a new program for players with cognitive and other developmental challenges. Details will follow.
