The Safe Haven West Side Basketball is a program of The Resourceful Program, Inc., a nonprofit 501(c) (3) organization.
The League was created in 1988 to enable boys and girls who attend public, private and parochial schools to participate in organized basketball on weekends during the winter months; to promote child safety by providing a supervised activity during non-school hours; to teach athletic skills and sportsmanship; to serve the needs of West Side children and youth within a family- oriented volunteer organization; and to develop a community- based program that reflects the diversity of the West Side.
